Oh boy…
I tried being optimistic; I really did, but this just reeks of the Disassembled storylines all over again. Basically, both Avengers teams investigate a fallen spacecraft in the Savage Land. While that’s happening, all hell breaks loose as the Skrulls go on the offensive.
Then there’s the big “reveal” that occurs at the crash site. I can just hear the fanboys screeching now how so-and-so can’t be a Skrull because of this, that, and the other. (more…)

Is this the second-biggest retcon of 2008 or what? (I’m assuming “Spider-Man: One More Day” is considered the biggest.) Turns out Sonja’s relationship with the Goddess isn’t quite what she thought it was, and her connection to Kulan Gath is stronger than she thought.
The real problem here, of course, is once you make the big reveal, then the plot’s more or less over, and the world-threatening problem encompassing the previous 28½ issues are wrapped up in two pages.
