Well, I guess I didn’t miss the last issue of Ambush Bug after all.  Turns out it was just disgustingly late.  I hope it was worth the wait.

Well, I’d been enjoying Batman up until now, but Tony Daniel is taking over, and if Battle for the Cowl was any indication of the quality we can expect, I’m not sure how much longer I’ll be getting this.

Red Sonja becomes Queen Sonja.  Last time they changed directions, I wasn’t that pleased, so I guess we’ll see how this goes.

Nothing really of note this week.  Not sure if the entire Vampirella series is going to be $1.99 or not, but it’s a nice break from the $3–5 price tags on everything else.

Yeah, I said I was dumping Warlord last month, but this is all Mike Grell, so it might be better than the first arc.  Worth risking the $3 on one issue, at least.

Moon Knight #1 had some good and bad, so I’m giving it a second look.  If this issue doesn’t really grab me, though, I’m probably not going to buy any more.

Couldn’t find the length of the new Criminal story anywhere in the book itself, so dunno how many issues that’s going to be.  Glad to see it back, though.

Starr, as a concept, is interesting. Not sure how “good” it is, but it’s different enough to check out, plus you’ve got some nice Richard Corben artwork to look at.

Pretty standard week, and nothing unexpected.  I’m still undecided on whether to continue getting New Mutants or not (I decided to leave X-Force on the shelf this week), but that is a nice-looking cover, if nothing else.

  5. Reborn #3 (of 5)

I’m so torn on Batman: SOG. Dini does some stuff rather well, and other bits of it are just boring and/or misguided.  The completely uninteresting Manhunter back-up doesn’t help by adding $1 to the price tag.

Warlord, on the other hand, hasn’t really done anything interesting at all. Since this issue finishes the first story arc, I’m going to make it my last one.

Not sure how many issues of Beasts of Burden I’ll get, but damn, it’s got some pretty pictures on the inside.

Everything else is stuff I’ve been getting.
