No, that’s not a misprint. I didn’t get around to finishing last week’s batch of comics until last night.
- Adolescent Radioactive Black Belt Hamsters #4 — I take back every nice thing I said. Here we find out what happened to Clint, and the whole issue is nothing but an exercise in sheer pointlessness. I should’ve stuck with my original assessment. F
- Flash #241 — Flash is one of those books that is quietly entertaining. This issue concludes the “Spin” storyline, which had taken a startling turn last issue. We also get some development on the condition of Flash’s kids. I’m still not sold on the art, but I think that’s more my personal taste than the actual quality. B
- Ghost Rider #24 — Here’s a switch: The writing improves, but the art goes downhill in a big way. I’m going to let this storyline finish and see how I feel then. C
- The Incredible Hercules #118 — The gods versus Nightmare in his realm, plus Herc gets lucky. I think I’m actually starting to warm up to this series more. A
Maybe it was just my sense of humor twenty-two years ago, but I actually liked Adolescent Radioactive Black Belt Hamsters back in the day. There was a certain humor to the whole thing that made reading about this cross between the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and the Fantastic Four enjoyable to my warped young mind.
