Pull List for 7 May 2010

  1. Batman and Robin #12
  2. Black Panther/Captain America: Flags of Our Fathers #2 (of 4)
  3. Hellboy In Mexico (one-shot)
  4. Red Sonja: Wrath of the Gods #4 (of 5)
  5. Secret Six #21
  6. Warlord #14

Pull List for 30 Apr 2010

Got a Wednesday night class again, so New Comics day is going to be Thursday or Friday for the next two months.

  1. Captain America #605
  2. Conan the Cimmerian #20
  3. Deadpool #22
  4. Detective Comics #864
  5. Hack/Slash #32
  6. Northlanders #27
  7. Thor #609
  8. Ultimate Avengers #7
  9. Wonder Woman #43

Okay, the cover says Ultimate Avengers 2 #1, but the incindia says #7, so that’s what I’m sticking with.

Detective changes creative teams and directions.  We’ll see how that goes.

Pull List for 21 Apr 2010

  • American Vampire #2
  • Captain America: Who Won’t Wield the Shield? #1 (one-shot)
  • Fearless Dawn #3 (of 4)
  • Hercules: Fall of an Avenger #2 (of 2)
  • Queen Sonja #6
  • Sif #1 (one-shot)
  • The Spirit #1 (FirstWave)
  • Ultimate Avengers #6
  • X-Factor #204

Except for today’s purchases, I’m caught up through “D” on my backlog.  We’ll see how this weekend goes.

The Cap special looked funny.  Deadpool vs. Forbush Man?  Sold! UPDATE 29 Apr 2010:  It sucked.

I’m not sure how much of the “FirstWave” stuff I’ll get, but Spirit has a back-up feature with some sweet black and white Bill Sienkiewicz art, so that was a no-brainer.

Pull List for 14 Apr 2010

  1. Batman #698
  2. Brightest Day #0
  3. Domino Lady #5
  4. Hack/Slash #31
  5. The Savage Axe of Ares #1 (one-shot?)
  6. Secret Six #20
  7. The Unwritten #12

Since I like the idea of DC not being such a downer world, I decided to give Brightest Day a chance.  I guess we’ll see if the miniseries is any good and whether or not DC actually follows through with a lighter tone across its line.

Update 21 Apr 2010: Okay, I had my companies mixed up.  Turns out it’s Marvel’s “Heroic Age” that’s supposed to lighten up the universe.  Brightest Day was pretty annoying for folks like me who didn’t read Blackest Night.  That’s my last issue of that miniseries.

Pull List for 7 Apr 2010

  1. The Astounding Wolf-Man #22
  2. Batman and Robin #11
  3. Black Panther/Captain America: Flags of Our Fathers #1 (of 4)
  4. Red Sonja: Wrath of the Gods #3 (of 5)
  5. S.H.I.E.L.D. #1
  6. Warlord #13
  7. Wolverine: Weapon X #12

Pretty standard week.  I was going to leave SHIELD on the shelves, but it got a pretty good review over at Comic Book Resources, so I’ll give the first issue a shot.

Pull List for 31 Mar 2010

  1. Cowboy Viking Ninja #5
  2. Detective Comics #863
  3. Eternal Descent #1 (of 12)
  4. Hack/Slash #30
  5. The Marvels Project #7 (of 8)
  6. Wonder Woman #42

Not sure if I’ll get all of the Eternal Descent issues or not.  The art looks entirely too “early Top Cow” for my tastes, but I do own one of their CDs, so I thought I’d support the band.  At $4 a pop for 12 issues, it’s going to have to be a damn good story, though.

Actually started digging into my comic pile last night.  Got American VampireBatman & Robin knocked out.
